Biography
David Sink Jr. was born in Lexington, North Carolina. He earned an undergraduate degree from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill, a master's degree from the University of North Carolina-Greensboro, and a doctorate from Virginia Tech. Sink's professional experience includes working for 30 years in North Carolina's community college system as president of two community colleges. In 2015, Sink became the owner of Meineke Car Care franchise for Brunswick County. He served in the United States Army from 1969 to 1971. Sink has served with the following organizations:[1]

|David is a native of Lexington, NC and currently lives in Winnabow, NC. After graduating from UNC -Chapel Hill he spent two years active duty in the U.S. Army. After earning a doctorate degree from Virginia Tech, David served 30 years in the NC Community College System as President of two colleges. He also graduated from the Institute of Educational Management at Harvard .
Active in civic organizations, David has served on numerous local, state and national boards and has received many awards from Boy Scouts and Rotary in addition to the Order of the Long Leaf Pine from the State of NC. In the recent past he served as President of the Leland Area Rotary Club and has been District Governor for Rotary International. He is currently the owner and Operating Manager of the Meineke Car Care Center in Leland NC.
David has two children and 3 grandchildren. Hobbies inlcude playing the piano, reading NC and American history books and cheering on his favorite basketball team - the UNC Tarheels.
- Healthcare: David supports the expansion of Medicaid, the establishment of mental health centers to address the opiod crisis and other mental health issues and the creation of a recruitment program to address the nursing shortage in NC.
- Environment: David opposes offshore drilling and seismic testing and wants to hold the GEN-X polluters accountable for cleaning up the rivers and our drinking water.
- Education: David supports raising teacher and support staff pay to, at least, the national average. Safeguarding teachers and students is another priority.

Integrity first and foremost; second would be communication with consitituents. Third, bring the vision to fruition by working across the aisle in the NCGA.
