Campaign themes
2015
Tobolt's website highlighted the following campaign themes:[2]
Neighborhoods
- Excerpt: "To me, having strong, vibrant neighborhoods means that ALL of our neighborhoods have access to safe, walkable communities that offer ALL residents diverse destinations to which they can walk, bike, or drive. Commercial corridor development, home ownership promotion, and smart street planning are all part of ensuring that our neighborhoods thrive now and for years to come."
Public services
- Excerpt: "Ward 2 residents deserve quality services that serve all residents. I will advocate for full investment in our recreation centers, which are critical for crime prevention."
- Excerpt: "I would also explore ways to expand recycling access to multi-unit dwellings and small businesses as an important environmental step. Finally, I would examine other public services such as snowplowing and public health delivery to come up with measurers to increase the accountability and transparency of these important services."
Citizen engagement
- Excerpt: "I would plan to hold office hours not only in my City Hall office but also out in the community at times that make sense for real people. I also want to reach out to residents who have not traditionally been part of the city’s policy process."
