Cynthia Hathaway is a judge of the 3rd Circuit Court in Wayne County, Michigan.[1] She ran unopposed for re-election in 2016.[2]

Hathaway received a bachelor's degree in business administration from Wayne State University and a master's degree in criminal justice from the University of Detroit. While working towards her master's degree, she was employed by the Detroit Recorder's Court Probation Department.[3] Hathaway received her J.D. from the Detroit College of Law.

Michigan held general elections for local judicial offices on November 8, 2016. A primary election occurred on August 2, 2016. The candidate filing deadline for incumbents was March 21, and the deadline for non-incumbents was April 19.[4] The following candidates ran in the 3rd Circuit general election (16 open seats).[2]
