Austin McDonald was born in Fitzgerald, Georgia. He was raised with small-town values and taught the importance of faith, hard work, and grit. In third grade, Austin was diagnosed with Dyslexia. Instead of allowing this to discourage him, Austin, with the support of his family, found ways to overcome this barrier. He is passionate about sharing his story with Georgia’s youth with disabilities.

In 2019 Austin was appointed by Governor Brian Kemp to the Georgia State Rehabilitation Council. He is actively involved with High School High Tech and has been the keynote speaker for programs across the state.

Austin is a former educator and currently a stay-at-home dad.

  • Austin will promote a free-market and sensible, common sense government spending to help Georgians pursue their American Dream.
  • Austin will support our teachers and empower parents and students working to fully fund our schools and deliver teacher pay raises.
  • Austin will ensure liberty and justice for all while supporting law enforcement and first responders with sufficient funding and effective police training, restoring trust in our community.
