She is the mysterious nurse of Al-Revis Academy. She offers a job involving 30,000 cole for someone to go deep sleep.
During the first Summer break, Vayne and co come to the Infirmary during the night as Flay claims there are pools of blood inside. As Vayne and co try to switch on the light to see whether the pool is a pool of blood or not, Miss Melanie asks them to sniff the "perfume" before doing so which causes them to fall asleep and allows her to clean the mess.
The first time they fall asleep and teleported to the Infirmary with the Wings of Icarus, Melanie claims she took something from them while unconscious. Vayne then asks her what it was that she took, but she refuses to reveal this and says it's a secret.
