Well, hello there, Friend. Feel free to leave your mark upon one, or all of my pages, and acquaint yourself with the deepest parts of myself I've explored thus far. In doing so, I will leave marks of my own upon you. It is my hope that journeying together, with different experiences, ideals, and methodology, we will learn and grow together, and Be Kin.
I am a woman in search of her~self. I spend my time learning of myself and my surroundings. I take in all I can, and what I learn, I earn. (Meaning, sometimes, learning lessons the hard way.) I find myself growing and expanding as I delve deeper into life.....mine and the universal, divine.
Too many moons ago, I lived with a man who held a true Love and fascination for all things natural, original. All I can say today is I deeply wish I had more than a mere memory to delve into. I still would much prefer to learn directly from you, not a memory I cannot touch, hear, feel or question. I will Love you all my days, and learn from you always.....
A few of my favorite quotes:
"He's always, always in my mind: not as a pleasure, any more than I am always a pleasure to myself, but as my own Being.”
- Emily Brontë
"Remember Me with Smiles and Laughter, for that Is how I Will remember You All. If you can only Remember me with tears, then don't remember me at all."
- Laura Ingalls Wilder
"To accomplish excellence or anything outstanding, you must listen to that whisper which is heard by you alone."
- Ralph Waldo Emerson
"Poetry is an echo, asking a shadow to dance."
- Carl Sandburg
"I know what others may never know,
I never can fool myself and so,
whatever happens I want to be
self respecting and conscience free."
- Edgar Albert Guest
"Every saint has a past, every sinner has a future."
- Oscar Wilde
"I need to see you naked, in your body and your thought."
- Leonard Cohen
"Let me be a book you collect your words in"
- Julunar, fellow poet on AP
"Love is the ability and willingness to allow those that you care for to be what they choose for themselves, without any insistence that they satisfy you."
- Wayne Dyer
"A poet looks at the world the way a man looks at a woman."
- Wallace Stevens

"Life is the river which runs to the Poet's Sea"
- Stuart Higginson (fellow AP Poet)
"Make the most of yourself, for that is all there is of you."
- Ralph Waldo Emerson
"If one life has breathed easier because you lived, then your life has been a success."
- Ralph Waldo Emerson
"If three of us travel together, I shall find two teachers."
- Confucius
"Tears tranquilize tough times."
- Angel Ofdark
"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us. We ask ourselves 'who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?' Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small doesn't serve the world. There's nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do... And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we're liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others."
- Marianne Williamson
"Let another man praise thee, and not thine own mouth."
- Proverbs 27:2
"To love and be loved is to feel the sun from both sides."
- D. Viscott
"The supreme happiness of life is the conviction of being Loved for yourself, or, more correctly, being Loved in spite of yourself."
- Victor Hugo
"Don't dig yourself out of a hole you're not in yet."
- Janet (Pssst.....that would be me.....shhh ; )
"I was as pure as the driven snow.....then I drifted."
- Mae West
('Borrowed' from the author page of TornAura.)
“God, in his infinite wisdom, did not make me very wise. So, when my actions are stupid, they hardly take God by surprise."
- Langston Hughes
"Poets are soldiers that liberate words from the steadfast possession of definition."
- Eli Khamarov
An email I wrote my boss:
"Once upon a time there lived a lively, likeable blonde goddess who (temporarily) lost her finesse with cleverness. Or, if you would like, I could just say I’m too tired to think like a smart ass this morning. I myself like the original sentence best. You?"
~ Janet ~
OK, so it was more than a few, please Forgive Me........!
Feel free to drop me a line, and enjoy your time here.
