Kanwalroop Kaur Singh is a Sikh writer and soon-to-be attorney. The daughter of immigrants, she was born in California but her roots lie on both the Pakistan and India sides of modern-day Punjab. Currently, she is pursuing her JD at UCLA School of Law, where she has worked with communities facing violence due to immigrant detention, mass incarceration, and racial injustice.
