About the Hispanic Heritage Awards
Join PBS, the Hispanic Heritage Foundation, and host Annie Gonzalez as we celebrate a new class of Hispanic Heritage Award honorees. Started by the White House to commemorate the establishment of Hispanic Heritage Month in America, the Hispanic Heritage Awards are among the highest honors given to US Latinos by Latinos.
Past honorees include Justice Sonia Sotomayor; Dolores Huerta; Fania All-Stars; Celia Cruz; Linda Ronstadt; Carlos Santana; Gael Garcia Bernal; Salma Hayek; Pedro Martinez; John Leguizamo; Dr. Ellen Ochoa; Carlos Santana, Bad Bunny, Ivy Queen, Zoe Saldaña, Residente, Selena Gomez and more.
This year, the Hispanic Heritage Foundation honors: former NBA-player & 3-time Olympic Gold Medalist Carmelo Anthony (2024 Sports Award); baseball and Civil Rights pioneer Roberto Clemente (Special Posthumous Honor); 4-time Emmy-Nominated Writer & Director Julio Torres (2024 Vision Award); cumbia legends Los Ángeles Azules (2024 Arts Award); founder and CEO of Beautyblender Rea Ann Silva (2024 Entrepreneurship Award), and globally renowned fashion icon Carolina Herrera (2024 Fashion Award).
