This is the Day Progress
The house is stitched using CC Wild Berries on the front and CC Red Currant on the side. I used CC Blackbird to fill in the windows and on the door to give it a little more contrast. I used CC Cocoa Bean for the roof. The grass is stitched vertically using WDW Kudzu.
I am enjoying this one so much! I may get back to it or try to work on Titania a little bit. She's been neglected lately! I really would love to get it finished soon for my friend! :) Write later!

WMN and HoHRH Progress
I decided to work on "With My Needle" yesterday during the day and then I worked on HoHRH at night. I stitched as late as possible and then finished up block three today. I was determined to get that block finished before the end of March. I had to catch up with Margie too! :) She's using NPI Silk - it's amazing how different our blocks look!

Well, the kids are off school today, so we are just hanging out and relaxing! We may go to the grocery store later - so exciting! :) I'm trying to decide what I want to stitch tonight - maybe my nephew's sampler? I really should get back to it! Write later!
Edited to add... I almost forgot! I also worked on "This is the Day" the other night. I finished the numbers and started filling in the white around them.

Quaker Christmas
I worked on Quaker Christmas some today. I got two motifs finished.
I also worked on HoHRH a little bit last night. I'm really trying to finish up block three before the end of March. I'm running out of time! :) I didn't really stitch enough for a progress pic. Just filled in some of the windows. I will either get back to it or work on "This is the Day" a little bit. Write later! :)

Another Restart
I ended up starting Ruth Bacheler over also. I tried to be happy with DMC threads I was using, but every picture I saw with the silk threads really made me wish I had gone with them. So I gave in. I got the silks and started over last night. I'm very happy with how it's turning out!
I ended up coffee-dying some more 34 ct. Cafe au Lait Legacy linen for it. I baked it, but ended up rinsing most of the mottling out. I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. :)
I also worked on HoHRH a little bit yesterday....
I'm on book three of the Twilight Saga now. I'm really enjoying it. I watched the movie the other day. It was pretty good also. Not as good as the book, but I half expected that. A friend of mine said it was terrible, so I was actually expecting a lot worse. I didn't think it was terrible. Well, I've got to get the boys from the bus stop. Write later!

More This is the Day
I worked on "This is the Day" this weekend. I spent most of my time trying to figure out a mistake I made. I was off by one stitch and it was driving me nuts!! I finally figured it out, but since it's hard to describe I drew a diagram.
I forgot that I did make one other change in the colors of this design. I switched around Red Currant and Wild Berries. Well, it's such a beautiful day today I'm going to try to get out and take Matthew to the park. it's still a little cool yet, but maybe after his nap. Write later! :)

This is the Day - Restart
I ended up starting "This is the Day" over yesterday. Although, I love the original design, when I saw Jan's (scroll down) I really fell in love. She was so kind to list her conversion, so I pulled the floss and got started on it last night while listening to "New Moon" the second book in the Twilight Saga. I'm definitely hooked on the series. Before I listened to them I couldn't understand what all the hype was about, now I know. Anyway, here is a pic of my new start....
I'm using the 40 ct. linen I tea and coffee dyed using Vonna's Basted and Baked Method. I love the color! The only change to Jan's conversion I make is to use WDW Kudzu instead of the Bean Sprout (Thanks for the idea Katrina). Well, I'd better get going. I'm trying to get the house all clean and then I can stitch for the rest of the day and tomorrow! :) Write later!

In the Beginning Finished!
I was determined to get this one finished up yesterday. I also finished listening to Twilight on my mp3 player. It was so good!! Now I have to listen to the next one. Anyway, here's some pics of my finish...
Little House Needleworks "In The Beginning"
Fabric: 36 ct. Flax Edinburgh Linen
Threads: DMC (1 over 2)
Started: 2/10/09 - Finished 3/19/09
I had one mistake - the top border is two stitches too close to the rest of the design. I don't know how that happened. I contemplated taking it out, but then decided not to. I don't think it's that noticeable. Today I think I'm going to work on my nephew's sampler. I'd like to get that finished too. Then I can get back my other samplers! Write later!

Earth Sampler Finished!
I finished up Earth Sampler last night. It would have taken me less time, but I've been a little busy running around the last couple of days.
I also started something new last night. I couldn't resist! I got the threads pulled and a couple pieces of fabric out and sat down with the pattern and saw that one of the pieces of linen was the exact size, count and color for the design, so I decided it was fate and had to start right away. The design is "This is the Day" by Hands to Work from the Jan/Feb 2009 Just Cross Stitch.
My rotation has kind of taken a backseat this week. I'm going to do my best to get back to it next week! Write later! :)
The Primitive Needle "Earth Sampler"
Fabric: 40 ct. Newcastle linen (hand-dyed by me)
Threads: GAST, WDW and one CC (Cocoa Bean for the triangle symbol)

The Promised Pictures...
First, here is a picture of sweet Harrison, my new nephew. Oh, I ache to hold him in my arms! He's so precious! Thankfully, we are going to Florida in a few weeks and I'll be able to see him then!
And here is my Earth Sampler. I haven't stitched anything today. I have been running around doing errands. I was going to try to stitch a little tonight. I was up at 5 am, so I don't know how long I'll make it! :)

He's Here!
My nephew arrived yesterday - no pic yet. They did send a pic on my cell phone, he's so sweet! All the info I have is that he was 8 lbs. 1 oz and healthy, which is the most important part! I'll post a pic when I get one!
I ended up working on Earth Sampler some more last night (sorry Harrison). :) I just have a couple more rows and I'll be done! I'll post a picture of that later too. I'd like to try to get it finished today and then work on Titania tonight.
I have also listed a few more things on my Sale/Trade blog. Here's a link...

More HoHRH
I worked on HoHRH on Saturday and Sunday...
I got a pretty good start on block #3. I'm pretty sure I can finish it up this month and get back on track! My SIL is in the hospital, but has not had my nephew yet. I can't wait to see his sweet little face! :) I think I'll work on his sampler some more tonight. Write later! :)

A Little Bit of Stitching
I worked on "With My Needle" a little yesterday. I finished filling in the yellow on the girl's dress and got a few swirlies stitched.
I also worked on "Earth Sampler" a little more. I actually ended up using Karen's idea of using Crescent Colours Cocoa Bean instead of GAST Sable. My Sable was a little too light. Hope you don't mind Karen!

Earth Sampler Start
I started Earth Sampler yesterday and realized there were a couple errors. If I had read all of Karen's post I would have realized that sooner! I emailed Lisa, the designer of The Primitive Needle last night and she put the correction on her website. I'm having so much fun stitching this one! Here are a couple progress pics...
I also worked on my nephew's birth sampler a little bit last night. I found out my SIL is going to be induced Sunday, so I thought I'd better get working on it! :)

Thank you to those helped clear out some of my old stash! I really appreciate it! :)Thursday, March 12, 2009
Quaker Christmas Wednesday
I got just a little more stitched on QC yesterday. I finally got to stitch a little yellow! That was a thrill - let me tell ya! :)
I was planning on starting Primitive Needle's "ABC Hornbook" today since I finished "Simply Live" last week, but I haven't gotten the fabric for it yet from Silkweaver. So I was thinking of starting Primitive Needle's "Earth Sampler" instead.
I'm thinking of going with this 40 ct. linen I dyed a while ago. It sort of looks like the linen that they used for the model. Well, nothing else going on here - just hanging out with Matthew. He's being such a good boy, maybe he'll even let mommy stitch today?? :) Write later!
