Welcome to my Porch, I would love to have you come for a visit and chat about how you like to spend time on your porch. Read a good book, enjoy some hot morning coffee, spend an afternoon visiting over a pitcher of lemonade or iced tea. Maybe you want to chat about your latest creative idea or creation. How about browsing through Somerset magazines, Cloth, Paper and Scissors or the latest issue of Prims. How about your latest find or treasure? I found this great rocker last year at the Goodwill for $20, almost new, very sturdy, comfy but it was a blonde wood color and it just needed a little sanding, a shabby coat of white paint. I thought it was a steal after pricing them at Target and various other places. It will weather nice and vintage as time goes on. I recently dug out this old quilt and thought it would make a great throw and some covered cushions for Spring. Speaking of Spring, well yesterday it was beautiful here and today it is raining. Not Spring yet! Now the quilt is folded up ready to put away until it hits the sewing machine and returns in cushions and throws. The little rocker needs some cushions too while I'm thinking about. Oh, don't forget to come back for another visit as this is just the Corner Nook of my front Porch, we have plenty more porch conversations to cover and more porch views. How about we go visit some more porches with Jill's our host from Gypsy Brocante Thanks Jill for hosting the Porch Club. Great idea!

HAPPY PINK SATURDAY EVERYONE!
Happy Pink Saturday to all of you. Today I'm sharing a little bit of dolly love from my own collection , the first is a OOAK 6" little girl dressed in "Pink" that was created many years ago by a gal in Australia and the second one is one of my very old dolls from the late-early 1890-1900's. She is wearing my Mom's baby dress that was worn by all her siblings. I thought it would be fun to show some Pink love and some Vintage love together, these are from my personal collection to share and enjoy. Don't forget to visit all the gals at Beverly's How Sweet the Sound to see more wonderful pink goodness and I'm also linked to The French Cupboard Handmade and Vintage Valentine Party for the weekend, share the love of Pink and a little Yummy Valentine Love!

Cottage Colors Party "The Color Blue"
Today I'm joining the Cottage Colors Party , featuring the color "Blue". These are pieces from my maternal Grandmothers set of dishes I received years ago from my Aunt, who knew how close I was to Grandma. They come rich with history and I actually was served from these as a child. My Grandmother was born in about 1836. It would have been nice to have the Tea Pot that went with the Creamer and Sugar but someone else may have received it or perhaps it was broken. I feel fortunate to have some of the set, other pieces I will share for another post one day. These are very old Blue Willow rich with history. The sectioned large Server on the top is in wonderful condition. The Creamer lid has been glued back together and was that way when it arrived here years ago. The Serving dish just above has darkened with age and use and probably was put in the warmer above the coal stove while the rest of the meal was being prepared. These were used as everyday dishes and many of the pieces don't exactly match and I remember as a child Grandma getting a new piece from time to time for a gift and that would explain why, times were tough back then and one dish added to the set was a big deal! Thanks for your visit and don't forget to visit the other Cottage Color Participants, just click on the link to the right of my sidebar.

HAPPY PINK SATURDAY!!
Happy Pink Saturday all of you! Today I'm sharing one my latest creations I have been working on, a Pink Pocket Valentine in shades of Pink with Paper filigree added from the middle to the outside edges. It is all backed and lined with cardstock, and edged in Paper Filigree. I didn't realize how difficult this would be to photograph. This sweet Valentine is a pocket Valentine perfect to put a Gift card, Hankie, Jewelry, Tea Bag or a treasure in the back. I placed a piece of card stock in the pocket so you could get the idea. The Tea Cup full of Kittens are from the front of a Vintage reproduction set of Valentines I purchased years ago and never opened. I raised it off the paper by adding double sided foam tape. I have 4 of theses that I hope to finish and put on Etsy, they will all be different as I don't care for making anything exactly the same.
Don't forget to visit all the Pink Saturday participants hosted by Beverly of How Sweet the Sound to see lots of wonderful Pinks!

HAPPY PINK SATURDAY EVERYONE!
Happy Pink Saturday everyone. Today I'm sharing a hand painted Inarco Egg cup from Japan. It has the label still on it and was in my hutch. I had totally forgotten about it until I was thinking about Pinks for todays post. It is numbered and in wonderful condition. I don't know how old it is but I have had it for about 15 years plus and it came from an antique mall. It is free from all chips and cracks, I may end up putting it in my Etsy shop as it is in much need of stocking before I can even begin to stock Heartful Creations. I have more treasures than I have space to display so unless it has been in the family for generations, it is time to thin out! It may look lovely displaying one of my filigree eggs designed just for it, umm I'll have to think on it. Don't forget to check out all the other Pink participants over at Beverly's at How Sweet the Sound and thank her for hosting this party every Saturday all year long. She is the best. Pinky Hugs to all you pink lovers out there, have a great weekend!

Thank You Facebook Friends
I would like to extend a big Thank You to all of you who joined me on Facebook, I always said I would never do Facebook but I feel to make new friends and network it is almost necessary, at least the bloggy friends that steal your heart! Well for sure I didn't know what I was doing on the Facebook thing as it is hard! I wanted my page to be private if it was going to give out all my personal information as I have older Granddaughters and when they do Facebook when they get older we don't want them to be embarrassed of Grandma. Then I changed my picture a zillion times thinking that would do it and make it easier for people to find me. Just when I thought I had it all right and everything matched and signed up for networked blogs it made it look like I had two identical blogs one open and one closed, well here I am dumb and dumber, so my friend of Karen of Valentine Design came to rescue and gave me a little guidance. Yes I had two blogs the same on Facebook, see I am techie challenged, but I want to learn all this fun stuff. No wonder I never get anything made. I spent this whole weekend on the computer (almost anyway) trying to fix it. Then Karen tells me I need to be confirmed as the person that owns the blog well I could barely navigate my way around to do that, so Karen did one and I did one and she is on all my Facebook walls, bless her heart. I need anyone else that would jump in that is on my regular Facebook page or a follower of my blog to hop on over to my blogs, Lulu's Lovlies and Heartful Creations to follow so I don't look like I have lost my mind, and that I'm not totally lost in cyber space. Hugs to all of you, hoping my bloggy skills will improve so I can create some pretties!

PINK SATURDAY January 8th 2011
Happy Pink Saturday everyone, I hope you are all having a happy and healthy start to this New Year. These are my favorite little pink ladies, oh so sweet and proper. I think they are Lefton or Napco but they just have a number on the bottom, no label, never the less they reside in the cabinet and I love them. Don't forget to go visit all the pink party gals at Beverly's at How Sweet the Sound and visit some yummo pink goodness!
Joining Be My "Vintage Valentine" Party "Postcard 1908"
I'm linking up with Be My Vintage Valentine Party to join in some Valentine Fun. Make sure you click on the link to visit all the wonderful Vintage Valentines or join the party. There is also a link on my sidebar to join. I'm sharing today an original Vintage Valentine Postcard from a 1908 collection of postcards that I have collected. It is a beauty and the pic probably doesn't do it justice as it is embossed and the Best Wishes is metal filigree. Sounds like I'll be using it in a piece of filigree Valentine art soon. Check back on Heartful Creations as it gets closer to Valentines Day.
Badge Pic's
After much thought, changing and changing some more and some more I finally decided to change all my profile badges on everything that I'm connected to as they should be the same for less confusion of who I am, for you that are my followers, I'm not crazy just still a little techie challenged on all this cyber stuff so now all my pic's on everything match. I chose my blog badge as it is the most recognizable by everyone and it matches my blogs. Thank you Karen for my blog design that I doubt I'll ever tire of as you created it to be so beautiful, so if anyone needs a blog makeover and is techie challenged like my self, Karen of Valentine Design is the one to create wonderful bloggy magic! Hugs to you today Karen you have taken the time to teach me alot!
