Welcome to tea! Today I'd like you to join for tea in my guest room of pink dreams. This space has a special tea table with all things shabby and rose charmed, hand painted and designed.
Hopes and dreams, fairy tales and inspiration happen at this table while enjoying tea time and keeping it calorie free with my trio pedestal of faux treats all handmade.
Pink Dreams in my "Home Sweet Home" is actually not only a guestroom, but an extension of my studio paintings and business display.(pillow made by my dear mother)
So welcome inside, and if you like, here is a place to set your purse and gloves.
If you would like to wear a hat for tea, here is a pretty one in pink with a gorgeous rose you may wear.
Perhaps you'd like to kick off your shoes and relax walking on the soft carpet.
As we take a place at the table for tea, we will be treating our self with my vintage rose cups, married with a white bird topped teapot, vintage sugar and creamer, handmade doilies from my grandmother and more.
The cups had no saucers so I found these little plates at Home Goods and teamed them up with the cups for a dessert plate too. They have french words written across very lightly.
Cup Marking.
The center crocheted doily was made by my grandmother nearly 75 years ago. It has some slight faded of the leaves, by still very well made and is in excellent condition. She also made the tea pot hot pad. I love the layered roses she used to make. These are true treasures I cherish today.
How about trying a dessert? We can pretend and save a few calories too. This display of treats range from cupcakes, petiefours, candies and cookies. All specially handmade and look so real. The raspberry cake at the top was a gift from my dear friend Stephanie of Angelic Accents. And the cupcakes and cookies handmade by Jen, the daughter of Shirl of Shirl's Rose Cottage. The mini cupcake was a gift from Jil, of Say it with Roses. The candies found on etsy and the petiefours made by moi. I love to design faux fabric cakes. The gorgeous pink tier pedestal stand holding all, was a gift from Lorri, my neighbor and dear friend. I cherish it all and when I get hungry for something sweet, I can look upon this display and pretend till the moment passes. LOL~~~~
More Tea? This vintage cup and saucer also holds a special spot in this Pink Dreams room beside my makeover vintage chair and tea table with rose charms.
Also among my collections are these darling demi cups I hand painted with roses and a special rose cup from my sweet friend, Vickie of Visuals by Vickie given to me many years ago. They enjoy the company of a gorgeous aqua teapot from my dear friend Ann, of Ann's Finds.
Shall we ring the bell for more tea?
As we enjoy one more cup of tea, we turn up the soft light of the chandilier that hangs over the tea table. Oh and the gorgeous crocheted table cloth, was a great find a few years ago at a yard sale for 3 dollars. It is in perfect condition.
Well, would you guess we would spend the whole afternoon having tea and visiting? As the clock strikes just after six, and our day turns to evening~~
I'll leave you with this quote that graces on the shelf just above our tea table, hand painted with my rose frame.
Thank you for coming to tea today. Please visit our hostess Sandi of Rose Chintz Cottage for Tea Time Tuesday, along with the many others Sandi has listed as participants.
Blessings to you for a beautiful Summer's Day.
