For an exclusion scope, you can configure the following settings.

Setting | Description |

Exclusion scope name | Field for entering the exclusion scope name. This name will be displayed in the Scan exclusions table. The entry field must not be blank. |
Use this scope in the scan task | This check box enables or disables the exclusion of this scope when an on-demand scan task is performed. If this check box is selected, Kaspersky Endpoint Security excludes this scope when the scan task is performed. If this check box is cleared, Kaspersky Endpoint Security includes this scope when the scan task is performed. You can later exclude this scope from scanning by selecting the check box. This check box is selected by default. |
File system | In this drop-down list, you can select the type of file system to exclude from scan:

Access protocol | In this drop-down list, you can select the remote access protocol:

Path | This is the entry field for specifying the path to the directory that you want to include in the exclusion scope. The / path is specified by default—Kaspersky Endpoint Security excluded all directories of the local file system from scanning. This field is available if the Local option is selected in the drop-down list of file systems. |
Masks | This list contains masks of the names of objects that Kaspersky Endpoint Security excludes from scanning. Masks are applied to objects only within the directory specified in the Path field. You can add, edit, or delete masks. The list contains the * mask (all objects) by default. |
