M&A deals value and volume in the Americas H1 2019-Q2 2023
From 2019 to 2023, the highest volume of mergers and acquisition (M&A) deals in the Americas was seen in the first half of 2023, with nearly 11,000 deals. However, the highest value of deals was seen in the first half of 2021, amounting to approximately 1.4 trillion U.S. dollars. By contrast, the first half of 2020 saw the lowest number of deals, at 7,400. This also amounted to the lowest deal value of approximately 346 billion U.S. dollars.
