Need More Stash?

Here it is so far... well that I have typed in anyways....

These World of Cross Stitch magazines need new homes. They are listed by issue number, additional notes (like a Free Kit being with it, or some sort of minor wear, etc), and what I have removed with page numbers and everything.
I have it in Excel format, too bad it doesn't copy over so well on to here.

I am hoping to get these to new homes with shipping costs covered so that I am not paying shipping out of pocket.
Let me know what you need!

Not really stitching, yet.....

I have been spending countless hours sorting through my "oh-my-word-I-had-no-idea-I-had-so-many" cross stitch magazines. I admit, I hung on to many, when all I was really interested in was maybe a chart or two inside. So. I have been removing the charts I want to hang on to and creating boxes, (yes boxes), of mags to go.
We have been doing a rather extensive clean out of the house, and since this particular closet is slated for big clean out in the near future I thought I would get started on it now. Time to condense and get organized.
It's been fun though. Looking through all of them again. Plus I've been doing Buffy the Vampire Slayer marathons while sorting. Brutal, I know.

did I mention the fabric is white?

SanMan Jar SAL progress....ok the lighting is horrible. My apologies. But, at least it's an update!

border progress and a visitor

My progress on the SanMan Jar SAL. I am really trying to get the border done before starting on each month's block. But, I think I will do each month in order, but starting from September instead of January as the files are set up. I am in the mood to stitch fall. The snow will be here soon enough!
Though not important-I have been stitching to Netflixed Law & Order CI. :) It's been great!

Late Tuesday night, I was stitching on the couch when Hubby called me over to the storm door.... this *gorgeous* kitty was on our deck and had tried to come in the door when Hubby went to open it to run some books out to his car.

We don't know where this little one lives. As we've spotted it a few times in our yard. As far as I can see (we didn't dare open the door as "she" might run in) it's a she. Good health as far as I could see too- healthy coat, good weight, nice bright eyes, and friendly as all get out. Meowing and purring up a storm, esp when I clicked my tongue to get her to look up. Super friendly. I could so love her to pieces. Must refrain. Maintain sanity.

Progress and a Pet

My progress before bed Sunday night. I am well in to page two now. :) Yeah!

This is my daughter's fish, her bday present summer of '09. His name is Hellboy. He's still with us, which is pretty cool considering betas aren't known for having a long life. Anywho, this is when she first got him.

This is Hellboy now. He's grown and gotten so much frillier. Not too shabby for a Walmart fish. Lesson learned though, after hearing how "well" their fish are treated there, if/when we get a new fish- we'll probably go somewhere else. ( accidentally left the flash on so when the camera went off he got pretty mad at me)

Jar SAL pic as promised

I took this one of my progress, just before I started on it again... hm, can't recall what day. I didn't stitch for several days even though I was in the mood to, what with the aloe and neosporin (sp) all over my arm. Even when it started to feel a little better I just didn't want to risk getting stuff on my stitching. Ick!
(*update, the file says it was taken the 12th.)
I will take another pic at some point. I figure if I am back in to the stitching the pics can come when and if ever.... it's the stitching that counts! Right?

Rusty. With a side of stash.

So, Monday I had the whole house to myself- Husband and The Kids were out for the day together. I had made up my mind that I was going to get a true-blue day off. No work at all. I made, well not so much "made plans", but "estimated" a movie, a book, possibly a nap, and maybe sitting outside with a book, would be the plan.

Here's what happened....

I enjoyed the peace and quiet of not being asked a single solitary thing and making food when and what I wanted at what ever time I wanted. Played on the computer a bit (farrrrrmmmmville!). I watched a movie, called "World's Greatest Dad" - great movie by the way. I had wanted to watch "Taming of the Shrew" (also in my Netflix queue) as it went with my suddenly intense desire to stitch something. I shared this need to stitch with two of my stitchie friends and hours later had watched said movie and started on the Jar SAL from SanMan Originals.

Oh what a riot! :

Ok, where are my scissors? Oh that's where I kept those. Uh huh, I must have had a pencil, oh yeah right with the rest....... It took ages to get started with cut fabric (oh so rusty on fabric sizes, as in how much would be needed for a project X big). Printed of charts. And all the other little details. But OH DIDN'T if FEEL GOOD once that needle started pulling thread through the fabric!

I am one happy girl now!

Yesterday (Tuesday) I opened the door to have a box handed to me. YIPPEEEEEE!

Thank you so much Jenna for my lovely mojo goodies! Kitting up one of my favorite designers, with my most favorite colors- purple and green- and the card! Pansies! I am just blown away.

And the needles were absolutely fantastic too, as the one I found and had started using was tarnished somehow.... Lol. :]

I have missed my stitchie friends.
I have missed stitching.

I have missed collecting and mailing things to people.

It's been about 2 years! Sheesh.

My rusty-self will take and post a photo of my progress at a later date. Not of the back though, yikes! My mojo may have returned but I am seriously lacking in skills now. :P

*knock, knock!* Anyone here?

It's been a year + . I had to log in and try to remember how to post. Ya, that's odd when you log in and *nothing* looks familiar because it's been a whole year.
Lots of things have changed.

I am not sure if I should ditch this blog and start fresh, if at all. Or what.

Talk to me.

Anyone here?

6 Random things about me

Sandra tagged me to share 6 random things about me.

Here are the rules:

1. Link to the person who tagged you.
2. Post the rules on your blog.
3. Write six random things about yourself.
4. Tag six people at the end of your post.
5. Let each person know that they have been tagged by leaving a comment on their blog.
6. Let the tagger know your entry is up.

Odd, as I was mentally compiling a few things over the last week or so. Now I can't remember any of them! Ain't that odd?

  1. I am officially the Queen of Frizz. Seriously, my hair is on constant attention, just seems the troops are confused as to which way to go! I am going to buy some of that None of Your Frizzness and see if that helps. It's bad.

  2. I may have talked myself into getting a new winter coat. Mine died about two years ago. Guess I should be picking up a new one, huh?

  3. I had my first manicure over our mini vacation. It was fun!

  4. I now like red. A lot. Not sure why. And this is a thinking about painting walls that color sort of way. It's a particular shade that I am esp fond of... a dark, not bright one.

  5. So love things that glow-in-the-dark! ( have I already mentioned that one??)

  6. I am on a brown kick. The brown with blue. Pink with brown. Purple with brown. Green with brown. I am seeing these everywhere it seems. Catalogs. Yarns. I like it. :)

I am going to be lazy. I can think of 3 stitchers that haven't posted this yet. So Outi, Prajantr and AnneR- you're it!

aha!

I just got word (I know I couldn't remember my password on Myspace for ages, and being a super low priority I didn't take the time to reset it or have it sent to me, anywhooooo!) I just got word that my relocated neighbor has set up a little shop for you folks to check out on Etsy.....From the Hip Creations.

I just realize with this entry that I hadn't posted in a month!
sorry 'bout that.
I have had a lot on my plate in this so called life.

Tootles!

Oy yes, so close!
I am so close to finding out what getting that last star will unlock in Webkinz!
What do you think is floating around in that yellow?

I needed and good laugh- thought you might too!
