Events

• Cirion, the Steward of Gondor, sent summons to the Éothéod for aid in throwing off an assault by the Balchoth from the northeast of Middle-earth, and Orcs from Mordor.
• Borondir, messenger of Gondor, presents the Red Arrow to Eorl the Young, Lord of the Éothéod.
• Celebrían, daughter of Galadriel and Celeborn on her way to Lórien is waylaid in the Redhorn Pass by Orcs, and is tormented receiving a poison arrow. She is later rescued by her twin sons Elladan and Elrohir and healed by her husband Elrond.
