Prince of Central East High (中高のプリンス, Chūkou no Purinsu) is the 57th chapter of the Kekkaishi Manga written and illustrated by Yellow Tanabe.

Summary

While chasing an Ayakashi, Yoshimori creates a Kekkai around it, but the top portion of it escapes, only to be caught by Gen Shishio. This sparks a fight over stealing each other's prey. A much larger Ayakashi appears near Tokine and Hakubi, but Gen kills it before it can touch them. Tokine notices a scratch on his shoulder, but Gen says it's fine and leaps away. Tokine notes he is talking a little more, but still mostly avoiding her. As she cleans up the mess, Yoshimori tells Gen to start helping with clean-up and to be more considerate of Tokine. Gen points out that he can't use their techniques, and finds it odd that Yoshimori is concerned about Tokine, since their families are rivals. Yoshimori is unable to come up with an excuse.

The next day, Gen watches from a rooftop as Tokine and Yoshimori head to school. They are arguing over coffee milk: Tokine says Yoshimori drinks too much of it. She tells him not to follow her in the daytime, when they have on Kekkaishi business. This leaves Yoshimori depressed.

At school, Gen heads to the roof to escape curious classmates. He finds Yoshimori there, still depressed. Gen can't understand why Yoshimori likes Tokine, which Yoshimori quickly and strongly denies. Gen says girls make things hectic, though they do smell nice. Yoshimori thinks this is an odd habit, so Gen explains that his nose is better than Yoshimori's.

Hiromu Tabata overhears the girls talking about Kimiya Hachioji, a local idol from another high school. For some reason, he is at the high school entrance. Yoshimori isn't interested, but Hiromu is convinced that something will happen. Yoshimori is shocked when he spots Tokine leaving with Kimiya.
