Here’s a quick bunny to whip up before Easter. I used a large plastic egg with a diameter of approximately 2.25″ and a height of 3″. I bought an actual egg full of them at Target. Maybe when Easter’s over, I’ll crochet over the big egg? Cover the world in crochet!

Use embroidery floss to stitch a happy face on your bunny.
Before you do any permanent attaching, stretch the parts over your plastic Easter egg. If it feels a little snug, just stretch it a bit!
Attach each part to the egg using hot glue. I like to attach the very top center first, then stretch the rest over and use glue along the edge. Be careful with the hot glue and your finger tips!
Fill with your favorite Spring treats! I do love me some brightly colored washi tape.
OHHHH..So cute! Thanks for sharing the pattern!
:o) Fun!!! Love the tape inside the bunny, too! :O) My mom used to crochet Christmas ornaments like this every year using Legg’s egg containers (old brand of hose that came in large plastic eggs back in the day….) and we all fought over who got which one. These are very cute! Brought back sweet memories!
These are adorable! Thanks for sharing the pattern!
Love the Bunnies. I like to give the kids something like this other than just chocolate/sweets for easter. They love them and don’t mind missing a few sweets cause they get tons from everyone else.
Ok loved this bunny idea but don’t know how to make a magic loop
Hi there!
It’s super easy, but if you prefer another way to start work in the round, you can choose that. I posted some information, including links to videos/tutorials in a previous post, chain circle vs magic loop– http://goodknits.com/blog/2012/03/14/crochet-chain-circle-vs-magic-loop/
Thanks a lot; I’ve been hunting for this material for a while, and it’s been incredibly useful at the office.
I love handmade things especially small ones made of wool because it looks so cute.
