Texas Stepping Stone

I made this to hold down my patio table in the high winds we get here in Texas... I have started a set of 6 stepping stones for my garden that will feature flowers from my yard, roses, iris, tiger lillies, daffodils to works...you will have to watch back for those..there is a Mosaic shop in Waxahacie , Texas I take all my friends to and we spend the day mosaicing and chatting away...everyone can do mosaics, so it is perfect place to accommondate all my freinds..this time we had kids along with us and they provided lots of talent and enertainment.

Healthy Recipe Swap

I joined a "Healthy Recipe Swap" with my local scrapbook ladies called Creative Outlet from meetup.com. Any ways my last few pages have been kinda plain and boring so I thought I would bust out with some color...And to me this is some color, the recipe is good also... I signed up and told them I was doing Barley Soup I can just see thier faces...YUK! Barley Soup....so this is my surprise, "Tropical Spinach Salad". I love swapping with these guys because

1.We will keep it going so I will have a very nice book full of recipes all in the same 8x8 pages.

2. I am hoping to add the pics of each lady to go with thier pages too..that will make this book perfect.

3. Lots of fun for me.

Baby Boy Card

I made this card for a swap with one of my local groups... I got a boy card...seems everyone wanted to do girl cards...lol. So here it is , not so sure I like it..but I did make the cut file for it my self..couldn't figure out how to get the little triangle part to cut out thou. So I cut it by hand. I still have lots to learn when it come to my cricut and SCAL. but it sure made this go fast to be able to cut the cards on the machine... All in All I think it will work and I will have to ponder how to make it look better to my eye..not real sure what it is missing. Any Suggestions for me?

Whew!

Ever have one of those weeks where junk just keeps happening. I just had one, everyday something that consumed my time and made me exhausted..some good, some bad..boy I am glad my weekend is coming..this is vacation weekend....Vacation weekend is a term we use at my work cause we have abnormal days off and little real vacation..so when we are going to have fun all weekend we call it ..Vacation weekend. no work for me this weekend...just fun times with friends. Both days..Yeppie..I cannot wait to put this last week behind me.....Hope your week and your weekend find you having some fun too..hugs to my hugsisters that visit me here and to the rest of my new friends too...Make to day a great day.

Check Book Cover

I made this check book cover for a PCCrafter Sketti Night prize, it goes with the play checks I added the link Here. I added lots of gems and small details..the girls are raised with pop dots..I think it turned out realy cute..Hope you have fun with you little girls learning them how to shop..what every girl needs to know.

Fun Play Checks

I made these checks for Sketti night over at the PCCrafter board tonight at 7PM central time. Pants Hanger Project

Ok the original idea was made using a 5 tier pants metal hanger with the arms that swing out...well I couldn't find one of those so I devised my own idea. using the hanger and clips shown in the pics below. Thanks to the lovely ladies at PCCrafter they gave the location to find the hangers so I could finally remove this idea from my brain and into reality. That is always a good thing to me. Another project done. Best part of this is I used up some of the supplies I had purchased for my daughters wedding stuff and couldn't return. Yay! I don't feel so bad now.

I traced the hanger I had and made the pattern from paper, then cut out the fabric and assembled. wha-laa! my pretty ribbon hanger...I will make embroidery labels later on 1 for ribbon , 1 for lace..yep I need to make another one ...I am hoping to find racks that fit the width of the hanger.

Isn''t she pretty...I have been using this for a couple weeks now..they get a bit tangled but not to bad..I love it enough I deorated it..lol..best thing is when not in use you can put a dress bag over it and hang it in the closet out of site and in a clean spot.

Olive and Jam Jars

Have never looked so pretty..my friends are all into my recycle challenge...they have me a box at work that people deposit different things they want me to alter.. I got these jars from Anne Marie. 2 olive jars and 1 jam jar from a unknown donator. I made these in the decor to match my craft room. ( one day when it is decorated that is). I love, love ,love fu-fu as my mom and MJ call it. I like everything fancy and girly. So one is for ribbons bits, one is for favorite buttons, and the other is for lace bits. I love my can of flat spary paint and have used it several times this week. My cabinet handles used this very same paint. I used scrap papers from other projects like my remote control caddy posted earlier and pits of this and that..All papers come from Hobby lobby as well as embellishments used..So frugal I am. I have had this project in my brain for some time now, so glad to let it out. Have a great day.

Family Portrait

I am currently working on a pregnancy album of my daughter while she was carrying my first grandchild..every month we measured her belly and weighed her and took a belly shot...at 6 months we took a family picture with her belly showing...The rotty is her dog Kasey and the Pomeranian is my dog Lucky..Along with Dani and her belly shot.( psst! thats baby Danika in there) .this is our small little family at this time. This album is turning out so good I almost will not be able to give it up. So much work goes into our albums. I am sure baby Danika will one day treasure this journey that I documented so well..I so wish I could have don this with my grandson Devin too..but the miles between us made it impossible to accomplish.

A Little Bit of Scrappin

I did this page of my favorite subject. well one of them...he is so photgenic...My dog Lucky. this picture is actually bigger than life sized..he only weighs 3.5lbs...but he gives out 100 tons of love..he is getting older so I try to take pics of him when I can...he is truely womens best friend. Ask any lady that has visited my house and the wil tellyou of his charm. He will wink at the ladies when I ask him to...it is so very cute ..precious little boy he is...

I need your help

I purchased these filigere for my cabinets...I painted them black to match several of the things in my kitchen...I am in a dilemma if I should paint my handles back also...what do you think...

Frog in My Garden

Here is my garden keeper, he is my garden frog. he waters my garden and Lucky every evening... I also have a friend named Mel that is getting married soon, they are combining households and she had about 50 yards of Tulle from doing wedding and floral works...she asked if I wanted it and I said sure not knowing exactly what I would do with it...well right away I figured out one use...the birds are eating my tomatoes like crazy...so I devised this netting to keep them away..it works wonderfully well and adds a bit of wimsy to my garden..what do ya think,.....lol...I need to make me a thing to hold a tarp over the entire top of my garden for shading to carry my garden thur two cycles here. that will be my fall project I believe. I want to eat my own tomaotes and not share.. I am stingy that way......
