The digital media Firstpost and Punjab News Express, from India, and The Lanka leader, from Sri Lanka, highlighted in their digital pages the recent massive march in Cuba against the aggressive policy of the United States.

The newspapers reported the enormous demonstrations last Friday in the capital city of Havana, Santiago de Cuba, and other territories of the island to demand the end of Washington’s economic, commercial, and financial blockade imposed for more than 60 years.

Likewise, they highlighted the presence of President Miguel Díaz-Canel and the leader of the Revolution Raúl Castro, and other authorities of the country, in the march, also demanding the elimination of Cuba from the list of nations alleged sponsors of terrorism created by the U.S. administration

The Indian and Sri Lankan media accompanied their reports with statements by Cubans on the difficulties they are experiencing due to Washington’s brutal economic war against Cuba.

Punjab News Express published fragments of the Cuban leader’s condemnation of the U.S. decision to maintain the terrorist label against Cuba, which it described as false and immoral.

It reflected the head of state’s denunciations of the training in the northern country of paramilitary groups to attack the Cuban infrastructure and his criticism of Joe Biden’s administration for continuing with the harsh economic measures of the era of his predecessor Donald Trump.

The Indian newspaper said Díaz-Canel also denounced the United States for intensifying the blockade, describing it as ruthless.
