I went to the mail box yesterday and
found this yummy Batik Polka Dot
Thank you Phyllis, I love it!
I wonder how she knew I have an
attraction for Polka dots and green.
Phyllis read my guest post over at
Stash Manicure and asked me where
I got the pattern for my mini star quilt.
I told her I designed it myself, so I
was tickled pink she liked it. I was
happy to send her a copy, after all
we like to share with fellow quilters,
right? So what a nice surprise in
return.
I picked up my sewing machine last
week and found some embroidery
cards for my machine marked down
by 75%. I couldn't be more pleased
with such a deal, so I gave in to my
weakness and indulged myself with
these three cards. My machine is
getting older so I was thrilled to find
these cards.
I decided to play a little after I got
home and made this for a future bag.
Isn't that Polka dot heart adorable?
Back in July our local quilt shop had
a huge sale on fabric, marked down
to $4.50 a yard. Who can pass up a
sale like that? I love a great bargain,
so this is what I settled on.
Lots of Polka dots and florals for
making aprons or bags for Christmas
gifts. I saw the bottom floral fabric
"Olive Rose" by Valori Wells and
couldn't pass it up. I asked for the
coordinating fabrics, but alas they
were sold out. So at least I didn't
have to face the mob of shoppers
that morning.
Thanks for your kind comments, they
warm my heart. I hope you have a
creative weekend!
