On a chilly winter day what is better than snuggling up by the fire with a cup of hot chocolate? This recipe is rich, if not completely decadent, and whats even better is that it only takes three ingredients! It’s almost as easy as opening up the packet of hot coco powder mix, which I also enjoy. We’ve been on a bit of a hot chocolate kick lately. It’s not every year that winter in Virginia gets so bitterly cold so I’ve been having some fun with it.
Hot Chocolate Recipe
- 4 cups milk
- 1 cup milk chocolate chips
- 1 tablespoon caramel sundae sauce
Heat the milk in saucepan over medium high heat, stirring occasionally. When the milk gets warm, add chips and stir until the chips melt and the mixture is silky smooth. Heat through until hot, but do not boil. Stir in the caramel and garnish with marshmallows. This recipe makes 4 servings.
