Trail reviews for Sedona
So fun! Start hike before sunrise for less crowds, be expected to wait bout an hour in line for a picture! Worth it!
If you like LOTS of people around while you hike this is for you! It’s definitely a recommended hike, but get after it early! Amazing views!
6:15am on a Tuesday in April, took the last spot in the parking lot (note: tons of cars parked along the road by the time we were done). Trail is extremely easy, to hike and navigate. Steep towards the top but very mild. Highly recommend hiking early for the obvious reasons of avoiding people, and the heat. We had no line for the bridge and took pictures a few times since there was no line. We then hiked past the bridge to the right which was a lovely spot for breakfast, and so quiet! On the way back down patience is required for the first part because the trail is so narrow and there were so many people coming up at that point. A stunning, incredible hike!
We just went to the subway cave and back, it was amazing up there! It was about 6 miles round trip. So much to explore and multiple options to get up into the cave. I’m a little afraid of heights, but I did it just fine. Started at 8 on a Tuesday. Plenty of street parking available. We had other people in the cave but it was too crowded at all. By the time we got back down the trail and street parking was packed.
Rocky, need to take shuttle or walk a mile to trailhead. Cave is awesome
Just missed the shuttle but there’s a lot just down the road and an easy and nice 30 minute walk to the trailhead
