Parking lot at main trailhead is the main issue, small and gets crowded fast. We parked at the yavapai trail head, which added an extra 90min to the hike roundtrip. The hike itself has stunning views, amazing rock formations, plenty of vegetation, and overall low/moderate complexity. 10/10 reccomended
Popular trail so be prepared. Thins out as you get closer to the top. There is one really narrow section that requires scrambling, but the rest is not bad (I’m 66 and did fine). Lots of people had to carry their dog through it. Great views. Will hike it again.
What an amazing trail with views that leave you in absolute awe of nature. And very jealous of those who can live there. Did not make it to the top, felt lightheaded at the oxygen levels at the higher elevation . Will work up my cardio before my next visit. Great energy.
Okay this was really rock climbing than hiking lol. It's hard and not for the faint of heart. If you have breathing issues or fear of heights you'll want to be extra careful. It's intense and pretty crowded on the weekends. But a good exercise.
Well marked and wide paths for the most part - there is one narrow part near the top. Trail gets dark QUICK after sunset so if you are going for sunset make sure to have lights. Stars are incredible when the sun goes down.
