The first mile is flattish but rocky and sandy so not easy to walk. High clearance vehicles also drive this part. At 1 mile you’ll take the right to start the official trail. It’s up from there. Lots of climbing and stairs but plenty of places for breaks. There’s always a line of people at the bridge but everyone takes turns to go out and take photos. It was 4 miles from the parking lot. I forgot to stop AllTrails when we got in the car.
Easy and short trail but there is some light scrambling to climb up to the actual bridge. We got there around 10 but waited 15 min to get a parking spot at the Dry Creek Vista trailhead. It took us about 45 to walk to Devil’s bridge trail and get to the bridge. It wasn’t too busy so we waited 5 minutes to get the iconic devils bridge photo of us then hung out there just enjoying the views. It is quite cool closer to the rocks so I recommend having layers this time of year. Warm in the sun though! Once we got back to the parking lot it was rammed with cars waiting so I definitely suggest getting here 10am or earlier unless you’re very patient. Fun hike up and great photo opp!
Last 10% of the hike is bit steep ( climbing stairs ). Totally worth it. We have 4*4 high clearance vehicles and was able go through the rocky road and park at the devils bridge main trail head (got the parking spot). We started the hike at 7:45 am, super crowded and hikers are already returning already. Huge line at the bridge - probably takes about 45 mins to get the picture. Totally worth it Beautiful views.
The trail was easy to hike until you got closer to devils bridge (approximately 30 mins out) then it got steep and narrow. Trail was crowded there so it made that point tough to navigate. It was also disappointing that you had to wait an hour to take your picture on the bridge. Overall it was a good hike. Recommend going early to avoid crowds
We started our trail at the overflow parking. You can follow wagon wheel trail to a connector to get on the marked bridge trail. 90% of the trail is easy. The last 10 minutes of the hike is steep with moderate difficulty. You must climb rocks to get to the top so wear good shoes. The view of the bridge is worth it!!
