Toy Story 5 is an upcoming American 3D computer-animated adventure-comedy film produced by Pixar Animation Studios and distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures. It serves as a sequel to Toy Story 4 and the fifth flagship installment of the Toy Story franchise. It will be Pixar's 31st animated feature.

Synopsis

The main conflict of the film focuses on a new threat for the toys.... technology aka iPad kids. Jessie will also be the central focus.

On February 8, 2023, during the Q1 earnings call, Disney CEO Bob Iger confirmed that a fifth Toy Story film was in development.

On February 7, 2024, during the Q1 earnings call, Bob Iger confirmed that the film would be released on June 19, 2026.

Trivia

• This will be the fourth Pixar film to be directed by Andrew Stanton, after Finding Nemo, WALL-E, and Finding Dory.
• This will be the second Pixar film to be released on June 19, after Inside Out in 2015.
