"Mulligan'd" is the second segment of the one hundred-ninth episode of Big City Greens.
Synopsis[]
Nick suggests Nancy start a U-Pick operation, but Nancy remains suspicious of his intentions.
Plot[]
Nancy announces that due to one of her distributors going out of business, she now has no one to sell the large quantity of corn she has grown. Nick casually suggests a U-Pick operation; customers come in and simply pay for the amount of corn they pick from the harvest. Nancy is surprised that Nick came up with a good idea, but immediately becomes suspicious as throughout her life, Nick has done nothing but cheat and con people who work an honest living. Nick insists that it is an honest idea and that he is not up to anything anymore as he has changed. With Cricket and Tilly's help, the group set up an open house of sorts for people to come and pick their corn.
When a customer wonders if there is anything else to the u-pick gathering, Nick unveils a petting zoo, a corn maze, and a tractor ride for the kids. Nancy believes that Nick is trying to charge people for the extra activities, but Nick says that all of it is free. Nancy continues to watch over Nick and ponders whether he is up to something. So far, Nick appears to have genuinely good intentions and Nancy finally admits that Nick has changed. This is immediately thrown out the window when Nancy spots Nick overcharging people for the corn by rigging the weight sensor. Nancy is furious, but decides to recruit Cricket and Tilly at getting back at him.
Cricket, in an awful disguise, attempts to scam Nick into breaking an obviously fake bill. Realizing that he has been caught, Nick takes the money box and attempts to flee from a wrathful Nancy who chases him into the corn maze. He manages to outwit her and runs into the woods to bury the money box. However, when he opens it, he only finds a thank you note from Nancy. She reveals that Cricket distracted him while Tilly took the real money box. The Greens proceed to refund everyone's corn as a sign of good faith. Despite his defeat, Nick is impressed and congratulates Nancy for outwitting him. They make up by returning each others' wallets.

Trivia[]
- The episode ends on a rather open-ended note. While Nick is thwarted in his attempts to con customers, Nancy blows off the incident. Though due to living with him for so long, this is her way of putting up with it.
- This episode guest stars Jorge R. Gutiérrez, best known for the Nickelodeon series El Tigre: The Adventures of Manny Rivera, the Netflix miniseries Maya and the Three, and the 20th Century Fox film The Book of Life. He had previously worked as a character concept designer on The Buzz on Maggie, and wrote an episode of Brandy & Mr. Whiskers. He also created the Disney Television Animation pilot episodes for Pepe the Bull and Carmen Got Expelled, both of which unfortunately were not picked up.
- Moral: Don't con a con artist, especially those within your family.
