Gwendoline Maxine "Gwen" Stacy (later known as Spider-Gwen) is a character from Marvel Comics, who is set to appear in the second season of Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man.
Gwen Stacy was created by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko.
Background[]
Gwen Stacy is a teenage girl who has been bitten by a radioactive spider, which gives her superpowers in the form of a spider, such as wall climbing.
Role in the series[]
Gwen Stacy is set to appear in the second season and is already known as Spider-Gwen.[1]
Trivia[]
- This is the first incarnation of Gwen Stacy to appear in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but an alternate version of the character was mentioned in Spider-Man: No Way Home, by The Amazing Spider-Man, who was killed at the hands of Harry Osborn as the Green Goblin.
- Gwen Stacy/Spider-Woman appeared in Sony Pictures Animation's Spider-Verse franchise, voiced by Hailee Steinfeld, who plays Kate Bishop in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
