"Cricket Control" is the second segment of the ninety-fourth episode of Big City Greens.
Synopsis[]
Bill installs a parenting device to monitor and discipline Cricket for him.
Plot[]
Bill wants to have some me time to himself, but is constantly bothered by Cricket's reckless behavior, giving him stress. He fortune changes when Big Tech salesman Bart Hagglespiel arrives and sells him the Parent Plus, a small AI device that is meant to act as a stand-in parent to rowdy children. Bill finds himself drawn to the device and decides to use it on Cricket. He finds that it is rather effective and gives him ease to be by himself. Meanwhile, Gramma Alice and Tilly head out to try a new restaurant called FÜD, which turns out to be a very bizarre concept restaurant as they have to order their food via a touch screen computer.
Alice and Tilly quickly learn that not only must they order food, but they have to pick a task that involves them doing work in the restaurant, before they are forced to make the food themselves. Bill continues to relax while Cricket's behavior increases. This causes Bill to get irritated and he raises the Parent Plus's settings so that he is much more severe with handling Cricket. Bill finally confronts Cricket to tell him to stop, but the Parent Plus responds by believing that Bill is a large child and puts the house into lockdown, trapping both Bill and Cricket inside and forcing them to stay in solitude for 72 hours.
Alice and Tilly finally get fed up with the restaurant's theme and coerces all the patrons to leave and go to a real restaurant, which in this case is a fast food place. Bill admits that he simply wanted more alone time from Cricket as he can be a handful sometimes. The two make up and work together to misbehave in front of the Parent Plus, causing it to go haywire and explode. Bill asks that Cricket give him some free time and he agrees to tone down his misbehavior every now and then. Tilly and Alice return home where they are perplexed by the massive mess in the house, and scaring Alice away from doing any work.
