Daughter birthday movie, so I watched this movie with a line of band and theater kids, highly recommend. They were all very proud of me for not singing . ❤️
Cynthia and Ariana are so good in this!! Ariana still has her comedic timing honed during her time on Victorious and Sam & Cat, and I'm hoping this means a return to acting for her. Visually stunning and gets to an intimacy you just can't get when watching the stage musical, the freckles on Elphaba's face, the look of her nails, everyone's EYES!!!! Enjoyed Bowen Yang's performance as well as Idina and Kristin's cameos, which I laughed all the way through. (Fingers crossed for a Chenowith & Grande mother daughter movie in the future, Gypsy perhaps?)
And even though it was only a part one, it felt like a complete movie, which doesn't happen very often with these types of movies.
Replaces Dune 2 as my favorite Blockbuster movie of the year.
