Taiwan’s welded steel pipe exports to US soar in 2024

Taiwan’s Customs statistics showed that Taiwan exported 32,279 tons of welded steel pipes in December 2024, slightly dropping by 2% from the previous month. 

Among them, exports to the US rose by 3% month on month to 26,392 tons, with the average export price higher by US$14/ton. The full-year exports amounted to 284,223 tons, with the US leading at 207,228 tons, a year-on-year surge of 108%. 

Imports also grew, with December's volume reaching 3,034 tons, up by 10% from November. Among them, South Korea supplied 1,813 tons. 

The total imports in 2024 reached 58,281 tons, of which the supply from South Korea rose by 11% to 33,848 tons, while imports from Vietnam surged by 39% to 12,724 tons.
