US increases steel coils exports in Oct y-o-y

According to statistics from the US Department of Commerce (USDOC), the US exported around 35,000 tons of steel coils in October, decreasing by 5.5% compared to the previous month but growing by 34% from the same month a year ago.

Among them, exports to Mexico accounted for the largest proportion, totaling roughly 26,800 tons, a month-on-month increase of 3.3% and a year-on-year surge of 82%. Canada ranked second with around 7,800 tons, and the exports to other countries were not so many in the given month.

The export value was approximately US$35 million during the period, down by 14.6% month on month and up by 51% year on year.
