Motivation
[edit]There are qualifiers female population (P1539) and male population (P1540) for population (P1082), but there are no equivalent qualifiers for mean age (P4442). The data for the qualifiers are available. Standazx (talk) 07:40, 7 September 2024 (UTC)

- @wd-Ryan: This is one of the population characteristics for which calculation the complete data of age structure of the population (ie. how many people of respective ages are present in the population). So even if there are data population (P1082), female population (P1539), and mean age (P4442), it is not possible to calculate the mean age of just females (or any other subgroups). Just two simple edge examples: Let's suppose there is a group 10 people, 5 males and 5 females, and their mean age is 40 years. This may mean, that all the males might be of age 30 (ie. male mean age is 30) and all the females of age of 50 (ie. female mean age is 50). Or it may mean that all the males might be of age 50 (ie. male mean age is 50) and all the females of age of 30 (ie. female mean age is 30).
