Babesdirectory ID
[edit]Originally proposed at Wikidata:Property proposal/Person
Motivation
[edit]This database would enhance notability of female influencers / models / actresses / athletes and more due to its cross-platform AND cross-industry focus. Records are added based on a smart algorithm that tracks online performance indicators like social media engagement (Instagram / Twitter) or platform popularity (Cameo / Fashion Model Directory / Onlyfans / Pornhub) LuukH87 (talk) 13:46, 5 November 2021 (UTC)

- Support, because not only porn stars are listed. -- Ontogon (talk) 12:42, 6 November 2021 (UTC)
- I would be very suspicious of cross-platform information offered by a website with such a name. Maybe you can show how it improves Wikidata in ways we don't yet have? I know there are "professional babes" who are notable enough for Wikidata but how does this website help reduce noise about such babes? Jane023 (talk) 12:53, 6 November 2021 (UTC)
- Sure, the site name is not well chosen. "Don't call me babe!", Pamela Anderson said in 1996 in Barb Wire (Q807302). But the noise has started 2018 when certain websites got their wikidata properties: Pornhub star ID (P5246), YouPorn performer ID (archived) (P5267), RedTube ID (P5540) and xHamster pornstar ID (P8720). Compared to that, babesdirectory.online is pretty harmless and quiet. In my own interest, I only added the singer-songwriter Ellie Goulding and the serious models Heidi Klum and Naomi Campbell as examples. There are also interesting photos of these on the website. The "professional babes" are not important to me. -- Ontogon (talk) 14:14, 6 November 2021 (UTC)
- Sorry just reading this now, but thx for the reply and that's a good point. I keep forgetting that especially for people in the news from 1950s onwards, pictures are hard to get uploaded to Commons, so it's always helpful to be able to link to photos of people, good-looking or not. - Comment Not so convinced. Besides the site's name I cannot find helpful infos (I only search for Heidi Klum). --Camelia (talk) 12:44, 7 November 2021 (UTC)
- Support more than just pornstars, there are many famous models in the database and a few female athletes. (I searched for football player Alex Morgan) Raks~nlwiki (talk) 09:05, 8 November 2021 (UTC)

- Comment The regular expression doesn't match Beyoncé (Q36153) → beyonce name and other single word identifiers. --Crazy hat royal (talk) 16:57, 20 December 2021 (UTC)
