Discussion
[edit]- @Premeditated: How is this different from Global Trade Item Number (P3962)? Mahir256 (talk) 16:27, 1 February 2022 (UTC)
- Hi @Mahir256: Sorry for the late response. I have been using Global Trade Item Number (P3962) for this purpose, but there are no-way to proof check if the UPC/EAN is correct for a release. This property is also only for useage on UPC/EAN found in International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (Q826858) database. This property could also be used as a reference to statements as it has an external link. - Premeditated (talk) 07:25, 7 February 2022 (UTC)

- Support but vote to rename to "IFPI GTIN". AFAIK, "UPC" and "EAN" are obsolete abbreviations. I also wondered if there is a way to recognize a GTIN as belonging to IFPI but I don't see a way, so having a separate property is appropriate--Vladimir Alexiev (talk) 21:47, 3 March 2022 (UTC)
