hu:Eutheria clearly says that Eutheria!=Placentalia and points species which are in one but not in another. So may be it was a hurry to join with Q993462. Infovarius (talk) 11:05, 30 October 2013 (UTC) |
Placentalia

- @FelixReimann:, please comment on your merge. --Infovarius (talk) 12:59, 19 May 2014 (UTC)
- @FelixReimann, Brya, Succu:, so what to do? --Infovarius (talk) 07:56, 15 August 2014 (UTC)
- Infovarius, it depends from the taxonomic viewpoint. I think Placentalia (Q15303756) and Eutheria (Q17092469) should connected to Placentalia (Q25833) via said to be the same as (P460). --Succu (talk) 10:02, 15 August 2014 (UTC)
- I can not really tell, they don't look the same to me. - Brya (talk) 18:22, 15 August 2014 (UTC)

No rank on taxon rank (P105)
[edit]Does it make sense to have no value for a taxon rank (P105)? See this edit where @Succu: reestablish it. — Finn Årup Nielsen (fnielsen) (talk) 21:40, 11 January 2018 (UTC)
- Why do you think so? --Succu (talk) 22:11, 11 January 2018 (UTC)
- Can we find a source that says that it cannot be given a taxonomic rank? — Finn Årup Nielsen (fnielsen) (talk) 09:50, 12 January 2018 (UTC)
- It's not about „cannot be given a taxonomic rank”. The first usage of the name "Placentalia" by Richard Owen (Q151556) did not included a rank assignment. --Succu (talk) 20:31, 12 January 2018 (UTC)

Not a synonym of Eutheria
[edit]Please do not add Eutheria as scientific name for this item, as Placentalia and Eutheria are not synonyms (the latter including the former plus a number of prehistoric forms closer to Placentalia than to other taxa).--Leptictidium (talk) 10:27, 3 July 2018 (UTC)
