ہوتا ہر قید سے آزاد تو اچھا ہوتا

طاہر تلہری

ہوتا ہر قید سے آزاد تو اچھا ہوتا

کاش میں پیڑ سے ٹوٹا ہوا پتا ہوتا

وہ ہے بس ایک سراب اس کا تعاقب نہ کرو

ابر ہوتا تو کہیں ٹوٹ کے برسا ہوتا

چاند بن کر ہے تو محتاج ضیائے خورشید

شمع بنتا تو کسی گھر کا اجالا ہوتا

چھین لیں مجھ سے اجالوں نے تری یادیں بھی

اس سے بہتر تھا کہ دنیا میں اندھیرا ہوتا

نہ سہی میرے لیے سعیٔ مداوا نہ سہی

کم سے کم تم نے مرا حال تو پوچھا ہوتا

kash main peD se TuTa hua patta hota

wo hai bas ek sarab us ka taaqub na karo
abr hota to kahin TuT ke barsa hota

chand ban kar hai tu muhtaj-e-ziya-e-KHurshid
shama banta to kisi ghar ka ujala hota

chhin lin mujh se ujalon ne teri yaaden bhi
is se behtar tha ki duniya mein andhera hota

na sahi mere liye sai-e-mudawa na sahi
kam se kam tum ne mera haal to puchha hota
