حق کا پرچار کیے گزرے پیمبر اکثر

دل جو بنجر تھے رہے دنیا میں بنجر اکثر

جو مرے سامنے پڑھتے ہیں قصیدے پیہم

میرے جانے پہ اٹھاتے ہیں وہ خنجر اکثر

رت خزاؤں کی یہ ہوتی تھی بہاروں جیسی

اب گزر جاتا ہے چپ چاپ دسمبر اکثر

ایک مدت سے مری سمت تو آیا نہ گیا

خالی رہنے سے زمیں ہوتی ہے بنجر اکثر

تو مری ایک ملاقات سے قائل مت ہو

دور سے گہرا نہیں لگتا سمندر اکثر

haq ka parchaar kiye guzre payambar aksar
dil jo banjar the rahe duniya mein banjar aksar

jo mere samne paDhte hain qaside paiham
mere jaane pe uThate hain wo KHanjar aksar

rut KHizaon ki ye hoti thi bahaaron jaisi
ab guzar jata hai chup-chap december aksar

ek muddat se meri samt tu aaya na gaya
KHali rahne se zamin hoti hai banjar aksar

tu meri ek mulaqat se qail mat ho
dur se gahra nahin lagta samundar aksar
