یہ اخلاص گراں مایہ بہت ہے

تم آئے دل کو چین آیا بہت ہے

غم دل کو بہت راس آئے ہیں ہم

غم دل ہم کو راس آیا بہت ہے

فریب دشمناں ہم کھائیں گے کیا

فریب دوستاں کھایا بہت ہے

مبارک تم کو قصر و چتر شاہی

ہمیں دیوار کا سایہ بہت ہے

بہت ہم نے بھی سمجھایا ہے دل کو

ہمیں بھی دل نے سمجھایا بہت ہے

اسی دنیا کو ہم اپنا رہے ہیں

کہ جس نے ہم کو ٹھکرایا بہت ہے

خدا رکھے اسے دل شاد ساحرؔ

کہ اس نے ہم کو تڑپایا بہت ہے

ye iKHlas-e-garan-maya bahut hai
tum aae dil ko chain aaya bahut hai

gham-e-dil ko bahut ras aae hain hum
gham-e-dil hum ko ras aaya bahut hai

fareb-e-dushmanan hum khaenge kya
fareb-e-dostan khaya bahut hai

mubarak tum ko qasr-o-chatr-e-shahi
hamein diwar ka saya bahut hai

bahut hum ne bhi samjhaya hai dil ko
hamein bhi dil ne samjhaya bahut hai

usi duniya ko hum apna rahe hain
ki jis ne hum ko Thukraya bahut hai

KHuda rakhe use dil-shad 'sahir'
ki us ne hum ko taDpaya bahut hai
