خواہش وصل کو قلیل نہ کر

شب ہجراں کو اب طویل نہ کر

میں نے تجھ کو رکھا سر آنکھوں پر

زندگی تو مجھے ذلیل نہ کر

جس کا جی چاہے پی لے جی بھر کے

اتنی سستی کبھی سبیل نہ کر

اپنے نام و نشاں مٹاتا چل

نقش پا کو تو سنگ میل نہ کر

نیند کی وادیوں میں رات گزار

عرصۂ خواب کو قلیل نہ کر

تیرا محتاج عمر بھر میں رہوں

اے خدا مجھ کو خود کفیل نہ کر

رات کی آنکھ بند ہونے لگی

داستاں کو بہت طویل نہ کر

میں نے تو اشک پی لیا نوریؔ

اپنی آنکھوں کو تو بھی جھیل نہ کر

shab-e-hijran ko ab tawil na kar
