ترا شعار تری دھج مرے خیال میں ہے

سبھاؤ غم میں مرے تمکنت ملال میں ہے

وہ تیرا کیف تبسم وہ والہانہ پن

مرے جنوں کی چمک بھی ترے جمال میں ہے

ترے تکلم رعنا و خوش خیال کی خیر

جو عیش زخم میں تھا اب وہ اندمال میں ہے

ادائے ناز سے ہے تیری ہجر میں اب کے

علاج ہر الم و یاس احتمال میں ہے

وہ بے خودی ہے کہ دل میں سماں سجا ہے کوئی

فراق ڈوبا ہوا مستی وصال میں ہے

فغاں کو زمزمہ کر دے جنوں کو شانت کرے

یہ رنگ بھی تو مرے یار خوش خصال میں ہے

بھروسہ ہی کف دریائے دل کا کیا کاوشؔ

ابھی تو مانا کہ حد میں ہے اعتدال میں ہے

tera shiar teri dhaj mere KHayal mein hai
subhaw gham mein mere tamkanat malal mein hai

wo tera kaif-e-tabassum wo walehana-pan
mere junun ki chamak bhi tere jamal mein hai

tere takallum-e-raana-o-KHush-KHayal ki KHair
jo aish zaKHm mein tha ab wo indimal mein hai

ada-e-naz se hai teri hijr mein ab ke
ilaj-e-har-alam-o-yas ehtimal mein hai

wo be-KHudi hai ki dil mein saman saja hai koi
firaq Duba hua masti-e-visal mein hai

fughan ko zamzama kar de junun ko shant kare
ye rang bhi to mere yar-e-KHush-KHisal mein hai

bharosa hi kaf-e-dariya-e-dil ka kya 'kawish'
abhi to mana ki had mein hai e'tidal mein hai
