مری خواہش کی دنیا میں

جہاں ویرانیاں ہیں اور

بہت سے بانجھ پیڑوں کی قطاریں ہیں

کہ جن کی بے کرانی میں

بہت دن ہو گئے

موسم نہیں آئے بہاروں کے

نہیں تو بلبلیں چہکیں

نہیں تو پھول ہی مہکے

مدھر آواز کوئل کی نہیں آئی

بہت دن ہو گئے

کہ ہر سو

گہری ویرانی کا کیسا دور دورہ ہے

مری خواہش کی دنیا میں

مگر پھر بھی

بگولے شور کرتے ہیں
