ہو گیا جیسے ترا دیدار پہلا آخری

ہو بھی سکتا ہے کسی کا پیار پہلا آخری

عمر بھر وہ شخص اپنی بات پر قائم رہا

اور یوں ثابت ہوا انکار پہلا آخری

جس قدر گھائل کیا خود سو گنا گھائل ہوا

عشق ہی تو تھا مرا ہتھیار پہلا آخری

اس لیے میں نے گزاری زیست ہو کر معتدل

سمجھا جاتا ہے یہاں معیار پہلا آخری

جن کا دعویٰ تھا کہ ہر طوفان سے ٹکرائیں گے

ان کو ہی لگنے لگا آزار پہلا آخری

ہر طرف ہی پارساؤں کا ملا جم غفیر

پوری بستی میں تھا میں بد کار پہلا آخری

چور تھا منصف کے دل میں تجھ پہ قابض ہو گیا

ورنہ عابدؔ تھا ترا حق دار پہلا آخری
