DERA ISMAIL KHAN, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 1st Aug, 2024) Unidentified robbers kidnapped five persons along with van carrying cash around Rs 40 million near Hathala village on Tank road here Thursday.
According to police, a van carrying bank cash along with five security men of a private security agency was heading towards Bank of Khyber in Wana, South Waziristan from Dera Ismail Khan. As the van reached near Hathala village on Tank road, unknown armed men kidnapped the security men along with the van.

Later, the robbers looted the cash from van and put the vehicle on fire while the security men were released.
The incident took place on the border of Tank and DI Khan districts and the police were determining that the incident happened in the jurisdiction of which district.
A case has been registered in Hathala police station while the police also recovered the bunt vehicle from Kanori area.
The police were also interrogating the released staffers of security agency.
