We’ve actually seen this not be the case – if there are multiple videos of an incident, they will simply choose the part of the one that supports the narrative and actively suppress the dissemination of the others. If the one video has parts that contradict the narrative, they will edit it to support the narrative.

Recall that Kyle Rittenhouse’s self-defense shootings were captured from multiple videos which were stitched together by a NYT freelance writer who concluded before Rittenhouse was indicted that all of his shots were justifiable on the grounds of self-defense. He was being menaced and then chased by his attackers, and only when he had no additional reasonable avenues of retreat did Rittenhouse fire. But the rest of the Press, including the rest of the NYT did not pick up on these facts and instead ran with a narrative about a white supremacist shooter who “cRoSseD sTAtE liNeZ” from one Chicago suburb to another. The narrative was powerful enough to allow the filing of charges of murder against Rittenhouse when the shootings were all clearly justifiable.

??? Perhaps the employer did think twice but the point of cancel culture is that it heavily changes the cost-benefit analysis of such decisions. Do you really think being a good employee is a surefire shield against cancellation? And replaceable ≠ useless. Almost all employees are replaceable. I’ve never been to Central Park so I’m not sure how to judge this. First, is there or is there not a no-leash area for dogs and was she in it? Second, are there areas so isolated no one would hear you scream in broad daylight?

So, in nyc, the Puerto Ricans and Dominican neighborhoods have plenty of black market shenanigans going on all the time. One part of that is offering empty rent-controlled apartments they control to newly arrived immigrants, or semi-homeless Puerto Rican or Dominican homeless coke head teens. They’ll let them crash in one of their empty studio apartments for $50 for the night, or for free if they run some drugs somewhere for them, or even sell it for them.

My dog and I once encountered a charming Negro gentleman who watched with great amusement while his pit bulls attacked us. I reported this to the Animal Control officer and he was summonsed to appear in court, where I said what had happened and showed photos of the wounds on my dog, who I also held onto protectively. There are people out there, and maybe it’s just a few very active ones, and maybe it’s not, who try to harm us whenever they can.

I have also reacted rather, shall we say, poorly, when some snooty swish pranced along and demanded that I leash my dog. My customary response was on the lines of, leash yo’ mama, motherf*er.
