Leaked documents have unequivocally proven that the United Kingdom has been running a large-scale and well-funded program to plaster the Western media with anti-Russian propaganda and Twitter wants you to know that these materials were obtained through hacking. Meanwhile, just a few weeks ago, the connections between American Big Tech and these sundry programs were... Read More
Several months ago, I speculated why Twitter would suspend the Valdai Club (a milquetoast discussion group that largely centers around economics issues and has a large component of systemic liberals within in). Now we have an answer. RT: Twitter is an American company and it's long been clear that it is used along with Facebook... Read More
There has been a large leak of documents from the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) showing that the UK is sponsoring and providing editorial guidance to anti-Kremlin journalists, media organizations, and YouTubers as part of a £100 million plan to "tackle Kremlin disinformation" during 2018-22. Their aim, forthrightly stated, is to "[weaken] the Russian... Read More
So a couple of months back, the publisher and developer of the "Call of Duty" US military propaganda video game franchise Activision/Infinity Ward were pushing the Black Lives Matter like any other good Woke Capitalist. But it seems the children have now had their fun, and - as in the UK, where the authorities suddenly... Read More
Here it is: Vladimir Putin: The Real Lessons of the 75th Anniversary of World War II It is a translation from the Russian on Rossiyskaya Gazeta. Summary from Bryan MacDonald at RT. It's TL;DR for me. But quick perusal, seems like a standard modern Russian attempt to reconcile the Soviet version of history, including battling... Read More
Propaganda: The FTFY version (h/t Bryan MacDonald): *** Would indeed be pretty strange for the Ukraine to do it for free, since it has received a grand total of $1.2 million in Corona-related aid, which is basically an insult even relative to Ukraine's economy. I suppose even Ukrainian West-worship has its limits. Incidentally, on that... Read More
The world's most prominent "anti-science" movements are dominated by Americans: Religious nutjob anti-vaxxers Neo-Lysenkoist SJWs Climate change deniers But never mind! As Obama and the New York Times inform us, it is PUTLER! who is behind this. What can he not do? The allegation that Russia is behind anti-vaxxism is especially hilarious given that the... Read More
Yesterday, Western journalists were like: This referred to the original state news agency RIA article, which stated that Boris Johnson was hospitalized and would be put under a ventilator. And earlier today, the British government were like: Business Insider: Boris Johnson's spokesman accuses Russia of spreading 'disinformation' after Russian state media claims the prime minister... On March 25, TASS reported that Russia send 15 military aircraft to deliver specialist and equipment to help Italy in the fight against its coronavirus epidemic. This included 600 ventilators. Although Russia's ventilator situation is pretty good by international standards, it still represents an investment of over 10% of Moscow's ventilator stock of 5,000 units... Read More
I have long advocated that Russian political historiography should de-emphasize combatting the Visegrad/Baltic assault on the Soviet interpretation of history ("we liberated Eastern Europe") and move towards counter-guilt tripping them. It's probably not going to happen soon, because Russian officialese is too invested in its WW2 narrative. That is because Victory is the main legitimizing... Read More

Meduza is a Latvia-based news website that was started up by journalists who had departed Lenta.ru after a change in management. While it has produced some genuine investigative work, its geopolitical orientations are decidedly anti-Russian and pro-Western, e.g. focusing on the travails of a few cherry-picked Russian businessmen in the Crimea, while neglecting to mention... Might be reflective of the national cultural Zeitgeist. For instance, China's is rather appealing, stressing duty, honor, courage, national defense: The US video features some random pointless adventure in the Middle East: Here is a classic Russian military recruitment video, released in May 2014: Translation: "This is … the first day of your new life.... The Franco-German media organization Arte recently produced a documentary about the decline of global average IQ. What courage in the Current Year! What resolve! Not only do they treat IQ as a legitimate concept, but are even willing to seriously contemplate whether it is declining, and what could be done about it. Could the tide... Read More
On November 23 the European parliament adopted a non-binding resolution on fighting Islamist propaganda and "information warfare" against the EU. I was surprised too but no, apparently by that they didn't have in mind jihadist shill Julian Roepcke, and the Lügenpresse that did more than anyone else to discredit the EU by remaining silent on... As Russian fighters begin their baptism of fire in Syria, it is worth pointing out there are at least three separate wars going on here. And they're all quite distinct. (1) The Actual War Once again I urge people to familiarize themselves with a map of the Syrian conflict (e.g. here). All of Assad's most... Read More
A few months ago, I wrote the following: Well, now we do have such polls, not only for the US and Britain but also for some other countries of interest like Germany and Finland, all thanks to two big recent polls by YouGov and ICM Research. I am a blogger, thinker, and businessman in the SF Bay Area. I’m originally from Russia, spent many years in Britain, and studied at U.C. Berkeley.
One of my tenets is that ideologies tend to suck. As such, I hesitate about attaching labels to myself. That said, if it’s really necessary, I suppose “liberal-conservative neoreactionary” would be close enough.
Though I consider myself part of the Orthodox Church, my philosophy and spiritual views are more influenced by digital physics, Gnosticism, and Russian cosmism than anything specifically Judeo-Christian.
