This blog, inspired by the famous Animation Backgrounds blog, will be a place to appreciate and be inspired by the amazing background art in animation. I feel like there are lots of blogs dedicated to the art of western animation, so this blog will be "mainly" focused on Japanese and non-western animation. All artwork is captured from the actual films, with characters edited out, and some digitally stitched together through taking multiple screenshots. Enjoy! I've gotten a few requests for Akira, but I'm like "Guy's do you really think I'd leave out Akira? C'maaaaan." :) Anyway the first round from the movie that probably got you into anime in the first place.
