AUSTIN, TX – Korie Hague and Morgan Zane were chosen to the 2022 Academic All-America® Division III Softball Team, as voted on by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). Hague appears on the second team while Zane is on the third team.

For Hague, this is the second year in a row she was honored after a spot on the third team in 2021. Zane earns her first honor.

The Rowan University softball team now has seven student-athletes that have been selected in program history. With the addition of Zane, the entire Rowan Athletic Department now has 31 student-athletes named Academic All-American, going back to 1979.

Hague and Zane were both named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District 2 Team as well as the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) All-Region IV Team. Zane was also selected to the NFCA Division III All-America Team as well. The duo are also members of Chi Alpha Sigma National College Athlete Honor Society and are Rowan Scholar-Athletes.

This season, Hague, a third-team all-region and second-team All-NJAC performer, posted a .309 batting average with 42 hits, 19 doubles, 23 RBIs, nine walks and struck out just eight times in 136 at-bats in all 45 games. Defensively, the catcher who is a health and physical education major, threw out 11-of-19 would-be baserunners and owned a .996 fielding percentage with just one error in 259 chances (222 putouts + 36 assists).

Zane, an elementary education and writing arts major, was a first-team all-region and all-conference choice as the senior started in all 45 games, batting .358 with 39 runs, 12 doubles, two triples, eight home runs, 42 RBI’s, and 19 walks. She led the team and was ranked in the top 5 in the NJAC in multiple offensive categories (doubles, homers, and RBIs).

This season, the Profs won its 11th NJAC Championship and its fourth in 10 years, advancing to the NCAA Tournament. The team finished with a 35-10 record under head coach Kim Wilson, who also won her 900th career game May 14.
