Announcement is made of the engagement and upcoming wedding of Dr. Nicole Hughes, Olyphant, to Steven Joseph Kropa, Dickson City.
The bride-elect is the daughter of Susan and Brian Hughes, Olyphant. She is a graduate of Mid Valley High School in Throop. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree and a Doctorate of Pharmacy degree from Wilkes University in Wilkes-Barre. She is an ambulatory care clinical pharmacist in the Geisinger Dermatology Clinic in Scranton.
The prospective bridegroom is the son of Kerri and Jeff Moore, Olyphant; and Steven and Jenn Kropa, Archbald. He is a graduate of Mid Valley High School in Throop. He then completed an apprenticeship and currently works as a pipefitter with the United Association Local Union 524 in Scranton.
The couple originally met in high school graduating from the class of 2014 and reconnected several years later through mutual friends.
The wedding is set for Dec. 7, 2024, at 1 p.m. at St. Adalbert’s Polish National Catholic Church in Dickson City.
