TAKHTBHAI: District president of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), Asad Ali Khan, has resigned from the party’s slot in protest against the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa governor’s decision
of not consulting office-bearers in the nomination of syndicate members for universities in Mardan district and elsewhere in the province.

Governor Faisal Karim Kundi ignored the Mardan division’s leadership, district leadership, and other party leaders in the nomination process for syndicate members in universities of the province.
“No consultation or involvement of the local party leadership took place, which has raised concerns among the district leadership of the party,” he claimed.He said that their protest would continue until the governor and the party leadership reviewed their decisions.He vowed that the protest movement would be extended to the entire province if necessary action was not taken.
