Top-ranked Ithaca football kept on keeping on on Friday night as the Jackets crushed Tecumseh 52-13 at Veteran’s Memorial Field.
The Jackets improve to 8-0 via the victory while Tecumseh falls to 3-5.
Quarterback Jackson Conn had two 3-yard rushing TDs in the win and completed 16-of-27 passes for 218 yards and two scores. He hit Gibson Rondy with a 26-yard TD pass and Ryley White with a 37-yard score.
Conn rushed it nine times for 61 yards in the win.
Nathan Mikesell also had a night as he had 12 carries for 167 yards and three scores. Mikesell had rushing scores from 20-yards out, 1-yard out and 30-yards out. Tanner Lamey also hit a 31-yard field goal for the hosts.
Rondy added in 114-yards receiving on seven catches while Riley Guild had 52 yards on six catches.
Swan Valley 45, Alma 13
The Alma High School football team came up on the short end of its game versus Saginaw Swan Valley on Friday night, falling by a final of 45-13 from Don Miller Field.
The Panthers are now 1-7 on the season while the Vikings improve to 5-3.
Swan Valley raced out to a big halftime lead and never looked back.
Alma quarterback Cooper Couch hit Brennen Palmer with a 10-yard TD pass and Couch added in a 6-yard TD run. Both scores came in the third.
Couch completed 11-of-28 passes for 126 yards and one score. He was intercepted three times.
Palmer had three catches for 34 yards.
Caylibe Thompson led the defense with six tackles, including one for loss. RJ Bielaga added in four tackles.
Breckenridge 42, Carson City 22
The Breckenridge High School football team won its third-straight game at home on Thursday as the Huskies defeated Carson City-Crystal by a final of 47-22.
Breckenridge improves to 3-5 overall and to 2-3 in the Mid-State Activities Blue Conference.
Running back Zander Mapes opened the scoring at the 9:08 mark of the first quarter with a 3-yard TD run. Four minutes later quarterback Gavin Corbat hit Noah Barr with a 1-yard TD pass. The Huskies led 14-8 at the end of one and pushed the lead to 27-14 by the half.
In the second quarter Mapes had an 11-yard touchdown run and reeled in a 1-yard TD pass from Corbat.
Isaac Bush added in a 1-yard TD run in the third while Corbat also hit Trey Most with a 20-yard TD pass.
Maddax McCaw closed the scoring out in the fourth quarter with a 14-yard TD run.
Corbat completed 8-of-9 passes for 96 yards and three scores. Barr had five catches for 38 yards and one score while Most had two catches for 53 yards and one TD.
McCaw led the rushing attack with 167-yards on 10 carries. Mapes had 12 carries for 72 yards while Bush had 35 yards on eight carries.
Braxton Clapp led the defense with 11 tackles. He also had two tackles for loss and one sack. Corbat added in five tackles, including two for loss, while Mapes had seven tackles and a sack. McCaw also had eight tackles.
The Huskies close the regular season out by hosting Onekama
